Oil and Gas Price Trend Review Today March 7, 2013:


Over the last month, oil prices have dropped lower while gas contract price continues to rise. According to one month price change analysis, crude oil price trend is currently negative by approximately 5.95 percent.
One month price change for unleaded gas contract is positive by approximately 3.46 percent at this time. Oil and gas contract prices finished the last full trading session in the red.

Contract Price Close Review for Oil and Gas Contracts:
April contract Light Crude Oil price tracked lower during the last full trading session by .43 percent, negative .39, to post a floor price close at 90.43 per barrel.
April contract unleaded gas price dropped lower during the last full trading session by .75 percent to post a floor price close of 3.12 per gallon.

The recent death of Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, could affect oil and gas prices. Gas prices could fall based on who takes over for Chavez and how they decide to invest in the nation’s reserves.

AAA gas Price per gallon survey review March 7, 2013:

According to the AAA daily fuel gauge report, Gas prices have lowered in the last week. Current price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the U.S. posts at 3.72 according to AAA. Last week, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline posted at 3.78.
