Solar energy continues to make gains. A major announcement was made by citing two recent technological innovations in solar energy. One is known as “black silicon” etching technology and the other is new Amonix Solar Power Generator that can produce 40 percent more power and energy than traditional solar panels. The current business of energy solutions is expanding by the moment.
Competitiveness for solar energy efficiency is global. The development of solar panels for energy production is a public and private market based business and gaining momentum in 2010. In America, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District was recently signed up for a 20 year power purchase agreement with Recurrent Energy for 60 megawatts of solar power to be developed in the southern portion of Sacramento County. And in Sydney Australia, SilexSolar expands its PV panel production capacity at its Sydney Olympi Park manufacturing facility, in response to strong demand for its solar panels from the domestic rooftop panel market. All companies are attempting to develop new technology that improves solar cell efficiency and energy production. It is extremely competitive. Solar power generally works by producing electricity from collected sunlight. The solar panels collect the sunlight. Solar power and panels are gaining popularity in the urban market as an alternative to gas heating. As solar panels companies continue to develop and increase market area, cost decreases and affordability becomes reality for the private home owner.
